Story Blurb:

In the year 32XX, the new otome game Walking with the Grim Reaper launched to huge fanfare and shot to the top of the popular games chart in just one month.

Her game ID is Hot-Tempered Girl Liu Rushi. Her real name is Liu Shimeng, and she's a hardcore gamer: an utterly ordinary high school girl with terrible gacha luck.

Unfortunately, she's now fretting over just how unlucky she is.

Seven pulls in a row, and every one gives her the same SSR Grim Reaper. Is that even possible???

Her classmates and friends envy her, saying she's incredibly lucky, but she can't get interested in this unpopular Grim Reaper at all.

Later, the all-knowing, all-powerful god of the game is moved by her devoted love (?).

And so, in a furious ten-pull, Liu Shimeng and the SSR from her seven-pull streak find their way to each other...

"You're not my favorite character!"

"I know. Obviously, my name isn't 'My Favorite Character.'"

"That's not what I mean! I'm a devoted one-character fan. Y-you, don't come any closer!"

"No. You're too weak. If I don't stay with you, you'll die."

In the apocalyptic school setting, demons and monsters run rampant, and ghosts appear one after another. With only him by her side, she clears countless stages and charges ahead triumphantly.

As you'd expect from Walking with the Grim Reaper, there are humanlike monsters dying all over the place. Either they die, or she dies!

Looks like she'll never make it back to the real world unless she maxes out her equipment, items, level, dodging, and trash-talking skills.

Liu Shimeng: Wait... did some weird skill sneak in there?

When they finally reached a story stage and could take a break, the Grim Reaper asked her a strange question.

"Um, why are you always staring at me?"

Liu Shimeng, with her trash-talking skill maxed out: "Because I seriously don't understand why a character like you would..."

...Have such low popularity just because you look terrifying?!!!

A hardcore one-character fan who eventually switches sides × a gaming girl who cares a lot about looks × an unpopular but overwhelmingly powerful, infuriating otome game character: the Grim Reaper

In short: a goofy girl × a loyal dog of a guy

Lively and funny, an unconventional sweet romance, sweet with no angst, and mildly scary elements. 1v1.
