◇ A naturally spacey powerhouse VS a flirtatious, sultry playboy
◇ A wooden-headed woman and a foxlike man | A touch of ensemble cast | Marriage first, love later (a ghostly romance)
Ming Dai is a young Daoist priestess her master found and took in. Her birth chart is unusually strong, and she's bursting with yang energy.
For the first time in eighteen years, she goes down the mountain, only to enter a ghost marriage with the legitimate son of the Xie family, the capital's most notorious rich playboy, who was handsome and debonair but died of an illness in a brothel a few days earlier.
Before she leaves, her master tells her earnestly: "The three great joys in life are slaying monsters, getting rich, and having your husband die."
Ming Dai nods blankly as she chews on a steamed bun.
After coming down the mountain, she feels that something isn't quite right.
She slays monsters and gets rich. Then, as she twirls her sword and looks down, she meets a pair of captivating eyes.
Ghosts fear the light, so Xie Biehe crouches in her shadow, his brocade robes trailing on the ground as he idly chews on a blade of grass.
Their eyes meet. He looks up, whistles at her, and says with a grin, "You're gorgeous, wife."
Ming Dai: "..."
Erm...
Is her husband dead or not? (⊙-⊙)
#No idea, Master never taught me
#I'm widowed, but not entirely
#I came down the mountain and married a beautiful ghost husband
#He's a smooth-talking flirt, but one tease from his wife makes him blush
#There's a reason for the ghost marriage setup. We reject feudal superstition, so don't apply it to real life
#The male lead is a flirt, the female lead is incredibly dense, so dense she hasn't caught on at all. But once she does, she's super direct
#I haven't thought of a title yet, so I'll just use one for now
Theme: Feudal superstition is harmful.
