A Satisfyingly Brutal Romance for Men

The heroine is a goddess in a xianxia world who cultivates the path of the myriad beings. She loves all living things and cares for the world, but she cannot give her love exclusively to one person. The hero is a Buddhist disciple born with a Buddha's heart. He falls in love with the heroine at first sight and pursues her obsessively and devotedly. She finds him annoying and cannot return his feelings. So the Buddhist disciple falls to demonic ways and tries to imprison her and force her to love him. The heroine takes him by surprise and stabs him until his soul is completely destroyed. Then she calmly dusts off her hands and goes into seclusion. A hundred years later, when she emerges from seclusion, her cultivation has made no progress. Her grandmaster suggests sealing her memories so she can experience mortal love and passion. So the heroine travels from the divine realm to the immortal realm, then the ghost realm, the demon realm, and finally the mortal realm. She falls in love along the way, and everywhere she goes, a whole host of men love her desperately and want to win her heart. During every romance, there is always a gloomy, thoroughly unlikeable man with little presence following close behind her. He is one of the Buddhist disciple's split souls. In every relationship, the split soul acts like a jealous husband and relentlessly targets the heroine's boyfriend. Then the heroine impatiently stabs him to death again. And so the heroine travels and stabs her way along, until her cultivation advances, the seal loosens, and she regains her memories as a goddess. Just as she happily prepares to return to the divine realm, the Buddhist disciple's split souls merge, and he becomes completely deranged. He imprisons the heroine and uses the divine realm to threaten her. The heroine isn't the least bit intimidated. The ending is probably that she stabs the Buddhist disciple to death one more time. As he dies, she finally realizes, belatedly, that she has developed a faint affection for him. In the very end, the heroine finds the Buddhist disciple, who has been reborn as a mortal, takes him as her apprentice, and begins a fresh and wholesome teacher-disciple romance.
