Gin Is Job Hunting Again Today

I'm Gin, a pure black-side character in Detective Conan who appears for less than two hours in total.

All things considered, everyone around me is a spy holding a meeting, a gathering of rats... I've come to accept it. This booze factory is worse than S.H.I.E.L.D. At my old job, the split was at least fifty-fifty. At this new place, everywhere I look, it's all fake booze. If I don't get out now, I'll end up losing myself, too.

So I got in touch with the handler I hadn't contacted in years.

I want to jump ship. I want to go back to my old workplace. Even if they don't have a helicopter for me to fall out of for fun, I'll take it.

Then S.H.I.E.L.D. went and blew itself up.

Now I'm desperately trying to find my next job.

Warnings:

1. This is a spy story, with almost no mystery-solving. The main story is in third person, with an OOC warning for the characters. There will be some ensemble scenes, the timeline is a mystery, and I try to make things logical, but they really aren't. I'm trying to be serious while writing comedy.

2. Gin is always on the side of the working class. His stance is loving his job and being dedicated to it. His background is my own headcanon, as is his foreign name. There's some rescue, but almost none.

3. Gin has no CP. He only wants to run away and find a new employer. If other CPs come up, they'll either be officially confirmed couples or original character pairings that serve the plot. There will also be some unfunny gay jokes.

4. The ridiculous scientific outlooks from each work are retained, but not the fantasy elements. For example, there are Iron Man, Captain America, and Doctor Strange, but no Thor or Sorcerer Supreme. I can't guarantee just how ridiculous the science will get. If you have questions about the plot or character relationships while reading, check the author's notes for the chapter or ask me in the comments.

5. The crossover mainly involves fictional intelligence agencies and organizations from movies and TV shows. See the supporting-character section for details. Some original characters will appear to fill gaps in the plot and in the agencies' personnel.

6. There is no outline, so character settings and plot developments may change depending on the author's ideas and memory. Other than there being no CP and the plot being the focus, nothing is set in stone. If that bothers you, please check the blurb updates and author's notes before deciding whether to continue reading.

7. Lots of flashbacks.

Theme: The world's falling apart, and the spies are patching it back together.
