Coming soon: The 1970s: Climbing the Social Ladder and The 1990s: The Foil Turns Her Life Around. Blurbs are at the end.
Blurb:
Tong Shanshan transmigrated into a book from the apocalypse with a storage space. When she opened her eyes, it was the day before her parents planned to trade her in marriage.
In the book, Tong Shanshan looked down on the man because he wasn't refined, had a scar on his face, and had a child despite not being married. So, on the eve of her wedding, she was persuaded by her second aunt to run away. Unexpectedly, she was sold off to a remote, impoverished village and met a tragic end.
Meanwhile, her second aunt married her own daughter into the Qi family. When the male lead rose to success, her second aunt's whole family prospered along with him and lived happily ever after.
Looking at her second aunt, who was earnestly urging her to pursue true love, Tong Shanshan gave her a mysterious smile. "You're right, Second Aunt! I've liked Qi Xinchuan for ages. Marrying him is my dream!"
Her second aunt was stunned. That wasn't what Tong Shanshan had said before! If Tong Shanshan married into the Qi family, what would happen to her own daughter?
Tong Shanshan couldn't be bothered with her. The next day, she married into the family without a hitch and became a military spouse.
Unlike the apocalypse, here she had a clean house to live in, full meals to eat, and an adorable little child who was wonderful at showing her affection. The quiet man treated her like a treasure and spoiled her rotten.
(1. They marry first and fall in love later, with a cozy, everyday-life focus. 2. The male lead's child is adopted, not his biological child.)
Coming soon: The 1970s: Climbing the Social Ladder. Please add it to your reading list.
Blurb: In her previous life, Xia Qingtang started out with every advantage but ended up worse off. Raised in a shantytown, she used her fair skin and beauty to marry into a wealthy family, going from sparrow to phoenix.
But she enjoyed only a few days of peace before getting divorced and losing her job. She could barely keep food on the table by working as a housekeeper for her cousin's family.
Everyone laughed at her for being foolish, but they didn't know that the wealthy family was no paradise. Her mother-in-law bullied her, her husband fell for someone else, and her sister-in-law picked on her at every turn.
She woke up one day and found herself back at age twenty. Looking at the calendar, Xia Qingtang breathed a sigh of relief. Thank goodness she wasn't married yet!
A few days later, Xia Qingtang welcomed the family who had come to propose, with her brand-new sweetheart by her side. "I've already registered my marriage with him." Her new husband was an ordinary man, and she was perfectly happy with that.
But the man's family wasn't happy! Her parents weren't happy either! Kicked out of her home, Xia Qingtang could only go back with the man she'd just married. But when she arrived at his house, she saw a three-story building. That wasn't the kind of place an ordinary person could afford to live in!
Xia Qingtang's mind went blank. Oh no, had she climbed onto another high branch?!
(Coziest of everyday life, family squabbles, and career struggles)
Coming soon, book two: The 1990s: The Foil Turns Her Life Around
When Xia Qingzhu was in her second year of high school, she moved in with the Wei family after her mother remarried. From then on, she became the foil to her stepsister, who was the same age.
Her stepsister was cheerful and outgoing, while Xia Qingzhu was withdrawn and gloomy.
Her stepsister got into a top university, while Xia Qingzhu dropped out of high school.
Her stepsister graduated from college, went into business, and became a well-known entrepreneur. With too little education, Xia Qingzhu could only scrape by at a factory.
Her stepsister met a handsome, wealthy man and formed a perfect couple, living a fairy-tale life. Xia Qingzhu's crush came to nothing, turning her into a laughingstock.
Then she lost her job and could no longer support herself. She returned to the Wei family to ask her mother for help, but was refused. On the way back, she accidentally fell into the water and drowned.
When she opened her eyes, she was back on the day before she first moved into the Wei family. Only then did she learn that her life of more than twenty years had been nothing but the life of a disposable foil character in a period novel, existing solely to make the protagonist's life look better.
Xia Qingzhu refused to accept it. Why should a foil character have to spend her whole life as a disposable extra?
Given another chance, she would work hard and make something of herself. Even a foil character could have her own springtime!
Recommended completed novels: After Becoming a Fake Heiress in the 1990s, I Struck It Rich, The 1970s: The Lucky Carp Village Girl, and Becoming a Cannon Fodder Supporting Female Character in a Period Novel [The 1970s]
Theme: Stay positive and optimistic, and life will keep getting better.
The later ones are written faster and have less top quality, so they are much better to read. The first few articles made my blood pressure rise.
"Qian Feng is the most expensive one", which is a big mistake for the author~ Bought
"Qian Feng's Biggest Slippers" caught the author a big bug~ Compromise
As expected, I am only suitable for reading heart-warming ones. The last few chapters are not as good as the best ones.
I like it so much. Is it over?
Is it over?
It's pretty good. Everyone is happy in the end.
Chasing all the way here is a heart-warming story, spreading flowers~
It's good. People who deserve happiness are getting happiness. That's good.
Tong Jingjing also has a good job, which is great!
