I Tried to Be Bad, but Failed

Also known as Falling for the Dean of Discipline's Daughter

Lu Yuan had his eye on a girl who was a little well-behaved and a little absentminded. He stood up to the grade-level director for her. Even if she was an easy target, that didn't mean the director could keep picking on her. The fight was definitely his fault.

Yin Yue hid behind him, quietly tugging at his sleeve to get him to stop talking.

Lu Yuan shook off the girl's hand and stood more firmly in front of her. "Teacher, this was all my fault. It had nothing to do with her."

The grade-level director narrowed his eyes. "Are you sure? If you take all the blame, you'll get a demerit."

Without hesitation, Lu Yuan said, "I'll take it!"

The dean of discipline was so exasperated he laughed. Everyone knew Lu Yuan had practically become a regular at the academic affairs office this semester. Was he trying to get himself into even more trouble?

Before Yin Yue could stop him, Lu Yuan blurted out, "I started the fight. I fought because I like Yin Yue. This had nothing to do with her."

The boy was doing his best to stand tall, his face already bright red. His hands hung at his sides, fists clenched. He didn't dare look at the girl behind him, but he could face the teacher in front of him.

The dean of discipline frowned and rubbed his forehead, looking thoroughly annoyed. "Fighting and dating. Aren't you something?"

The boy was about to defend the girl again when he heard her small, tearful voice behind him. "Dad, I'm sorry. Please don't scare him."

Lu Yuan didn't dare turn around now. He'd lost all his righteous bluster, too. This was way too hard. He had no idea what to do!
