[Written in high school, just keeping it as a memento. I don't really recommend reading it]

Blurb for this story:
They say there is a land of immortals called the Realm Without Haze... That day, the sky was blue and the breeze was gentle. Wherever frost and snow drifted, red lotuses bloomed in fiery splendor.
Upcoming story blurb:
In her previous life, Wen Yunchen was framed. She went from being the daughter of a general, seated high above the clouds, to losing her family and home. In the end, she was hacked to death and perished in a sea of flames.
She had thought she would fall like a lone wild goose, with no one caring. Who could have known that before she died, she would see Pei Yunyan, the young general known as the Iron-Faced Yama, with despair filling his eyes as he went mad and slaughtered his way through a sea of blood, finally dying from exhaustion and giving his life to join her in death?
Only then did Wen Yunchen understand how deep love could run, but it was already too late.
Reborn at the very moment it all began, Wen Yunchen resolved to turn the world upside down, seize power, and protect everything she cherished in the palm of her hand.
Yet just as her plan was getting started, she found the badly wounded Pei Yunyan by the roadside.
Wen Yunchen clapped her hands in delight. Wonderful! This is the perfect chance to repay the kindness he showed me before.
Only, she would have to make him behave. He couldn't go around killing people and making enemies like he used to.
She had just nervously prepared what to say when Pei Yunyan opened his eyes. His gaze was clear and tender, making Wen Yunchen's heart skip a beat. "Kind and lovely lady, I'll listen to everything you say from now on. All right?"
Wen Yunchen: "?"
What happened to the Iron-Faced Yama? Are you trying to fool me?
Wen Yunchen gradually discovered that Pei Yunyan wasn't really a Yama. He was simply used to silently removing every obstacle in the way of the people he cherished, never regretting it even in death.
She taught him to take care of himself and rein in his violent temper. Pei Yunyan obediently did as she said, and she thought she would eventually tame the fierce tiger into a kitten.
After Wen Yunchen had overcome countless hardships and finally taken power into her own hands, Pei Yunyan stood before her with a knife.
Forced to keep up his disguise, Pei Yunyan failed to recognize her, but Wen Yunchen saw a long-familiar madness in his eyes.
Only when the blade sliced through her hair did Wen Yunchen realize that Pei Yunyan only behaved himself around her.
All her past lessons had come to nothing. Wen Yunchen laughed in exasperation. "Husband, put down the knife."
Pei Yunyan was always killing people where Wen Yunchen couldn't see. He wanted to send everyone who stood in her way straight to hell, but in front of her, he would wipe his hands clean and behave so well he seemed harmless.
And just as Wen Yunchen had said, he had changed a great deal, shedding most of his violent temper.
Until he realized that the person before him was actually Wen Yunchen. Pei Yunyan thought, I'm done for. He hastily put away his knife, wiped off the blood, and said, awkward and flustered, "I'll do whatever you say. I'll listen to my wife! The others can all go to hell!"
Wen Yunchen: "Still pretending?"
Pei Yunyan: "Sob."
Is it too late to apologize now?
