The Crown Prince's Little Plum Blossom

Feng Qi was a six-year-old orphan amid the wars on the border. Her family had nothing, and every day she woke up searching for food and trying to stay alive. Of course, she also had to look after Mu Yuzheng, the little boy three years older than her whom she'd taken in. Others called her foolish. She could barely feed herself, yet she was raising a blind boy with a crippled leg. She paid them no mind. She had been all alone, and now at least she had a family member. From then on, in addition to scavenging for food, she had to earn money to support them both. Whenever he blamed himself and felt guilty, she would cheerfully say, "I told you I'd take care of you." The two of them relied on each other and weathered hardship together. Mu Yuzheng's leg gradually healed, and his eyesight returned too. One day, he took her hand. "From now on, I'll take care of you." Worried that he wouldn't be able to find work, she never imagined he would get a job with the Crown Prince, who had come to inspect the border. It was only a job leading the prince's horse, but the monthly pay was a full ten taels! Feng Qi was delighted, but also a little worried. She'd heard the Crown Prince was ruthless and would even withhold food if displeased. Afraid Mu Yuzheng might go hungry, she made him flatbread every day, wrapped it in oiled paper, and tucked it into his clothes. Feng Qi was happy to see Mu Yuzheng grow more and more confident. Until one day, as she passed the city tower, she glanced up by chance and saw Mu Yuzheng surrounded by the border garrison's generals. He wore splendid robes and stood above everyone. His cool, clear peach-blossom eyes could captivate the heart and see straight through people. Only then did Feng Qi realize that the person who had once truly been pitiful, and now only pretended to be, was actually the Crown Prince... * Sweet romance / one-on-one / each other's first love / happy ending * The heroine only falls in love as an adult.
