Please Hold Me Gently

[Updates whenever I can. I'm mainly working on the other novel, and I'll focus on this one after that is finished.]

1.

Zhu Junjun liked Ying Qinghui, but as an invisible nobody in their social circle, she knew she wasn't good enough for him.

She wasn't outstanding, was clumsy and ordinary, and had accomplished nothing. She was like a shadow no one noticed, while he was just like his name:

"As if the clouds had no wish to return, they turn into spring's charm to flatter the clear sunlight."

Ying Qinghui was a distant, untouchable glow in the clouds.

Zhu Junjun knew how timid she was. Even though she desperately hoped Ying Qinghui would notice her, she didn't dare do anything. No matter how much she liked him, she couldn't bring herself to say it.

She had planned to keep living quietly and unnoticed, content just to watch him from afar. But that tiny, foolish hope kept needling her heart, and one day she would inevitably lose control.

During a game of King's Game at a party, Zhu Junjun drew the king for once.

"Your Majesty, what are your orders?"

Beneath the disorienting glow of neon lights, she saw the handsome, refined man sitting back in a relaxed pose. His eyes, always so full of understanding, were fixed on her with a smile.

On impulse, Zhu Junjun wrote him a note:

"Please give me a gentle hug."

Ying Qinghui didn't do as she asked.

Disappointed and speechless, Zhu Junjun spent the whole evening quietly drinking juice by herself.

Only after the party ended and everyone started to leave did Ying Qinghui suddenly lead her to an empty corner of the hallway.

"You're too timid and shy. I thought you wouldn't want everyone watching."

His eyes still held that familiar smile, but he was looking at her so intently, as if he truly saw her, and only her.

Zhu Junjun stood dazed as the man gently wrapped his arms around her. His broad chest and warm breath were right there beside her.

He said, "At your command, my adorable little king."

(Timid, insecure, sweet and soft girl x kind and proper gentleman)

(1v1, both chaste and each other's first love. A genuinely gentle male lead. I just want to write a story about a good man helping a timid, insecure girl heal!)
