[Prince of Tennis] The Mermaid (Pairing: Shiraishi X Fuji)

A Little Mermaid AU based on Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale

Fishing village boy Baishi x mermaid Bu Er

A lighthearted, pure-love fairy tale, more or less. There's nothing particularly special about the plot, so just enjoy it.

Do real mermaids exist?

Some people say they do, because one night beneath a sky glittering with stars, they saw a pair of eyes in the shallow sea brighter than the stars. Those must have belonged to a mermaid.

Baishi said they did, but never explained why.

He didn't know whether he wanted to protect that mermaid and keep anyone from discovering him, or whether their encounter had left such a vivid mark on his short life that he wanted to keep it as a uniquely precious memory, or perhaps both.

Theme: Long live love
