Doomsday Gourmet

In the year 4XX1, a global apocalypse is underway.

All living things are evolving at an incredible pace, and humanity has fallen from the top of the food chain to the bottom.

To survive, people everywhere have no choice but to establish temporary shelters.

However, not long after the new Jiangcheng base was completed, it faced its first assault by mutated creatures. As everyone fought desperately to hold them back, one petite figure stood out from the crowd.

The figure darted nimbly among the mutant monsters, occasionally sticking out a leg with a crafty little trip. Thump! One mutant went down. Thud! Another one fell.

The others: "Huh?? Are mutant monsters supposed to be tumbling dolls? How can you knock one down with a single trip?! We've been fighting forever and can barely take any of them down!!"

And that wasn't even the main thing. The main thing was... after tripping a mutant monster, this person would swiftly draw a blade and chop it into eight pieces with practiced ease. While hacking away, she even smiled and said, "This crab monster should be pretty tasty, especially this one I picked out. It's a female, and its roe is really fatty. Want to come eat with me?"

The others: "Damn!! This crab monster is as tall as a two-story building! And you picked it out? Do you think this is a market?! And you want to eat it! How can you eat a mutant monster?!"

At first, everyone really did think that. But later... well, it was delicious! Tears of regretful hunger streamed from the corners of their mouths. (?﹃?)
