Bai Xi and He Zhilan grew up together. One was warm and boisterous, the other cool and gloomy. Their personalities could not have been more different.
All their friends thought they were a terrible match and sworn enemies, without a doubt.
Bai Xi agreed wholeheartedly.
Only He Zhilan would shoot her a cold glance and utter two words: “Idiot.”
-
Bai Xi had always thought He Zhilan was strange. He hated being touched by other people, and the moment anyone did, he would turn icy cold, making everyone afraid to come near him.
One rainy night, Bai Xi was about to ask He Zhilan if he wanted to sleep together in case he was scared.
Instead, she saw him curled up on the sofa, his face deathly pale and his body drenched in cold sweat, like an evil spirit straight out of hell.
He Zhilan grabbed her arm, clinging to it as desperately as a drowning man to a piece of driftwood.
His jaw clenched, he rasped, “Don’t go. Touch me.”
That was when Bai Xi learned that He Zhilan’s aloofness stemmed from a severe case of touch starvation.
And she was the only cure. He craved her touch intensely.
For a while, Bai Xi was constantly made to sit on He Zhilan’s lap, touching his skin over and over just to ease the pain whenever his touch starvation flared up.
Bai Xi couldn’t help complaining, “Haven’t you had enough? I’m tired!”
The man panted softly, then lowered his head to kiss her. His words came out muffled: “A little more.”
-
Later, after they got together, He Zhilan was always telling Bai Xi what to do. She was so unhappy about it that she felt like she’d found herself a dad.
Once, she yelled angrily, “I don’t like you!”
Then she made to storm out of the house.
He Zhilan stood in front of her, his gaze indifferent. With an effortless turn of the lock, he exuded an overwhelming air of intimidation.
“You don’t like me?” The man lifted her chin and gently stroked it. “Then who do you want to like?”
That night, Bai Xi didn’t get to leave again.
She even found out that, besides touch starvation, He Zhilan had another addiction.

*A light, sweet story, written for practice and fun. No logic, just sweetness.
*A nonsensical sweet story. If you need logic, you can kick the author around like a ball (not really).
*The leads are a case of like attracts like. Neither is perfect, so don’t read if that bothers you.
*Lots of personal headcanons. The settings are whatever the author feels like.
