Stealing Summer

[Weibo: Tan Guanzi]

During summer vacation, Liu Xiangwan moved back to Chijiang with her mother and was assigned a deskmate in advance: a boy named Liang Xu.

What teachers and parents said about Liang Xu: top of the whole school, handsome, and nice. The perfect deskmate.

Liu Xiangwan: He already sounds annoying.

One day, she went out and ran into a handsome guy she'd seen several days in a row.

When he heard her say she hated Liang Xu, the handsome guy raised his eyes with casual interest and asked, "You hate him?"

Liu Xiangwan looked up suspiciously and asked if he knew him.

The handsome guy tapped the table slowly, drawling with a carefree grin, "Nope."

Then, on the first day of school, the handsome guy turned out to be the Liang Xu everyone had been talking about.

Liu Xiangwan: "..."

Later, after they'd been deskmates for a while, a friend asked her what she thought of Liang Xu.

Liu Xiangwan thought about it. "He's great. I really like him."

She didn't know that Liang Xu was passing behind her and heard those words, but missed what she said next.

I really like his handwriting.

Liang Xu realized that Liu Xiangwan seemed to be finding it harder and harder to hide the fact that she liked him.

She would secretly watch him and quietly collect his handwriting.

She even moved across the street from his house.

She even asked him, with a perfectly serious face, if she could feel his abs.

Liang Xu was certain Liu Xiangwan liked him.

Until one day, he discovered the person Liu Xiangwan really liked was the older boy she'd been secretly in love with for years.

And he was just a backup.
