The Cannon Fodder Beauty Refuses to Lose Her Wits

A cunning, scheming top x a cool, proud beauty bottom [Both are intensely devoted] Lin Jin dreamed that he was a cannon-fodder character in a novel about a pampered, universally adored protagonist. The novel's protagonist was his younger brother. Because Lin Jin fought with him over the family fortune and refused to call off his engagement to the male lead, he eventually ended up abandoned by everyone and died on the operating table. Before he died, his parents said on his left, “Bear with it. We’re only taking one kidney to save your brother.” The male lead said on his right, “Saving him is the reason you exist.” After waking up, Lin Jin thought: I’m engaged? The plot must have made me lose my mind. Rumors ran wild that the Huo family had broken off Lin Jin’s engagement and the Lin family had kicked him out. Then intimate photos of the eldest Huo son cheating with the second Lin son during the engagement shot to the top of the trending charts, drawing endless ridicule. Soon after, Lin Jin appeared on the cover of a financial magazine, with a portfolio full of booming, popular businesses. At a party, business tycoon Huo Yiming, the head of the Huo family and uncle to its eldest son, walked up to Lin Jin in full view of everyone. Huo Yiming: “Mr. Lin, I’m single and have no exes. Why not consider me?” Onlookers: ?! Lin Jin looked him up and down. His looks and figure were just his type. Too bad his nephew would scheme to get him killed in a car accident someday. ※ Lin Jin was cool and proud, while Huo Yiming hid a blade behind his smile. Everyone in their circle waited for these two pampered darlings to lose patience with each other and break up. Instead, the Lin Group went bankrupt, and the Huo family’s eldest branch went to prison. Everyone finally understood: So they’d teamed up for this! Surely they’d break up now, right? Before long, a blurry video shot to the top of the trending charts. Huo Yiming was perched on the edge of a sofa, tenderly massaging the waist of someone lying face-down on it, following their every instruction. #Who could get the big boss Huo to wait on them like this?!# Lin Jin posted: Me. Huo Yiming posted: I just proposed, and he said yes. I’m celebrating by giving my darling a massage. ^_^. Reader’s Guide: 1.
