When the Night Tide Rises [Melodramatic Rich Family]

On the day of the wedding banquet, Zhou Qi explained to Lou Wuyue that both the dew-covered plum blossom and the congratulatory letter had been sent by his uncle, Zhou Du.

Lou Wuyue replied politely, lowering her eyes. "Thank you, Uncle."

That winter, it snowed heavily all the time.

Lou Wuyue ate her meal in small bites, her whole body taut as a drawn string.

Across from her, Zhou Du occasionally looked up, his gaze passing over her and turning to the window.

The blue bricks were blanketed in downy snow, glimmering with light.

The first time Zhou Du and Lou Wuyue got together, she was still in school.

The girl knew how to sweet-talk him, always calling him darling again and again before saying good night.

When they met again, she was holding a wedding banquet with Zhou Qi, treating him like a stranger.

Later, Zhou Du came across these words and thought they described her best:

"Go to sleep, darling. I will return like an avalanche."

So he buried himself beneath the avalanche.

Go to sleep, darling. I will return like an avalanche.
