Rain Falls, Spring Comes [Healing Each Other]

[Synopsis provisional]

The Lou family of Nancheng is immensely wealthy, with a magnificent ancestral home. But in this generation, the family head has moved to a remote, secluded mountaintop to live alone.

Rumor has it that he is frail and sickly, kept alive by medicine despite his young age. He's also exceptionally aloof, a true unattainable beauty.

Seventeen-year-old Jiang Xiaoyun is a headstrong girl who goes up the mountain of her own accord to care for Fourth Master Lou.

It's cold halfway up the mountain, and Fourth Master Lou is practically devoid of warmth. Plenty of people bet the girl won't last long before heading back down.

They wait and wait, until Jiang Xiaoyun goes off to university and stops visiting the mountain for a long time. Everyone assumes it's over.

Who could have guessed that Fourth Master Lou, who hasn't come down the mountain in over a decade, would appear at the university gates, stepping steadily out of a car? Leaning on a black umbrella, he smiles gently and brushes the light snow from the girl's head.

“Come on, let's go home.”

Jiang Xiaoyun reunites with Lou Xiu when she has nowhere else to turn.

Lou Xiu is handsome and gentle. Though he likes the cold, he turns the heat up as high as it will go for her. He loses control once in a while, but never hurts her. She thinks he's the best man in the world.

One spring, when Lou Xiu is thirty-two, he happens to glance out the window and see the young girl playing outside.

She smiles, her eyes glistening brightly.

When he hears her call him Fourth Uncle and say there's a rabbit outside, he puts away his wine and medicine, then smiles at her through the window.

He tells her it's cold out and to come home soon.
