The God of Light and His Legends

My life seems to have gone incredibly smoothly. Whatever I want, I can get with ease.

My treatment is the complete opposite of what I got in my previous life. It seems that overnight, I went from a piece of trash scrabbling at the bottom to a favored child of heaven.

But I know that's not who I am. Though I have some attachment to everything I own now, I'm not clinging to it.

Because I was a penniless nobody to begin with.

But even a penniless nobody has something precious.

The person who dug me out of a garbage heap when I was at my lowest, the person who treats me as special in this world: I don't think I can give him up.

So what does it matter if I put on a sanctimonious act, pretend to be a follower of the Light, and play the part of a competent yet incompetent holy man?

[Notes]

1. The entire story is told in third-person omniscient POV.

2. The God of Light is a native, and the transmigrated character is the gong! The gong is the transmigrator! The gong is the transmigrator! (It's important, so I'm saying it three times.)

3. The gong is a charlatan, and the God of Light is the shou. The characters are slow to warm up, and the romance develops slowly too.

4. The names are a mishmash, half Chinese and half Western. Please don't make fun of them.

5. The plot has a wildly imaginative premise, so please go easy on me.

6. I promise there'll be smut where it's called for, with no fade to black... though that's much later on.
