Why Does a Portrait Artist Have to Work, Too?

When Feng Wan woke up, she found that the whole world had changed.

The good news was that she'd become fabulously rich overnight, worth billions.

The bad news was that she'd become a painting, and not just any painting, but a world-famous masterpiece everyone had seen.

The feline culprit was still sprawled across her lap. It claimed to be the Divine Cat of Aladdin, and promised to grant her a wish if she let go of its neck.

Feng Wan: "Turn me back."

Divine Cat: "Ha, what a coincidence. That feature hasn't been unlocked yet."

Feng Wan: "Get me out of here."

Divine Cat: "Well, that feature is still in development."

Feng Wan: "...Fine. What can you do?"

Divine Cat: "For example, give you a chance to save a poor student who turned into a cat just after starting her internship? Please? I'll even give you a reward."

Feng Wan: ?! But I used to be an ordinary, fragile person, and now I'm just a fragile portrait.

But Yun Xian, who also had the fragile buff, didn't think it was a problem. He'd spent years outsmarting the cat guarding the school's secret chamber and had mastered the art of feline hunting. Even as a cat in a painting, he was sure to be the fiercest cub on the street.

So, full of blind confidence, Feng Wan followed Yun Xian into the abyss of a 007 work schedule. They'd thought they were just going to outwit the people stealing lost property, but wherever they went, people died.

Eventually, the thieves would start trembling at the sound of a cat's meow and burst into tears at the sight of cat fur. The moment the pair showed up, the thieves would drop to their knees and beg for their lives.

Feng Wan: "You might not believe me, but we didn't kill those people."

The man nodded. "I believe you! I believe you! I'll believe anything you say! ...What did you say? ...Then who killed them?"

Feng Wan paused. "You might find this even harder to believe, but when those people tried to kill me, their consciences suddenly kicked in and they killed themselves."
