The third prince of Great Zhou, Xiao Ling, had been frail and sickly since childhood. Jiang Wei, daughter of the Imperial Medical Academy's head physician, was forced into marriage with him to bring him good luck.
When the imperial decree arrived, the head physician was overcome with grief. He turned over the ideas of resigning, defying the decree, and running away from the marriage in his mind.
But Jiang Wei was all smiles. "Running away from a marriage is wrong, but I'm a professional at caring for patients. If all else fails, I can stick it out as a widow!"
Jiang Wei was deeply afraid of marriage. She knew that as the head physician's daughter, it would be nearly impossible to avoid marriage after she came of age. The only way to escape that fate was to marry someone and have the marriage protect her.
From then on, she would be the widowed princess consort of a noble prince of Great Zhou, with money, status, and beauty. What could possibly make her unhappy?
*
On the surface, the third prince Xiao Ling was gentle and sickly. In truth, he was calculating and ruthless. Since his birth mother's status was low, he had no choice but to lie low and avoid trouble.
The emperor was gravely ill, and every faction was watching for an opportunity. Xiao Ling could only pretend to be sick and stay out of the fray, waiting for the others to fight so he could reap the benefits.
Who could have guessed that while he could fool the head physician, he couldn't fool the man's daughter? That sweet, soft little dumpling was constantly flirting with him, swaying in front of him by day and throwing herself into his arms for a hug at night. Who could stand that?
Damn it! How was he supposed to keep pretending?
Seeing that he couldn't keep up the act any longer, one night, when he saw her bringing him another bowl of nourishing medicinal soup, Xiao Ling's gaze darkened. He pinned her against the wall and slowly leaned in.
If he couldn't keep her at bay, he might as well make the woman in his arms one of his own.
A sweet-on-the-outside, dark-on-the-inside prince x a soft, lively young princess consort
A sweet little story about falling in love after marriage~

Synopsis:
Lu Youran was the unloved legitimate eldest daughter of a marquis's household. Her father didn't care for her, and her stepmother was cruel. In her previous life, she was always competing with her stepsister, but never gained any benefits. Then, while fighting over a marriage to the legitimate son of a duke's household, she was accidentally pushed into a pond and drowned.
After her death, the only person who visited her grave was a servant she'd once saved. Not a single person in the household mourned her.
Reduced to a wandering spirit, Lu Youran roamed the household in resentment for several months. She learned many of the household's secrets and saw that her stepsister, who had married into the Duke's household, was unhappy after the wedding.
Even more shocking, six months later, the marquis's household was surrounded by the Imperial Guards and confiscated.
Only then did Lu Youran learn that the man she'd kindly picked up on the street, the servant who burned charcoal and chopped wood in the kitchen, was actually the fourth prince, missing after being seriously wounded: Prince Jing, who commanded a great army.
On a night of thunder and lightning, a bolt struck, and Lu Youran was reborn.
Having lived another life, Lu Youran saw through everything. Men? Household intrigue?
All she wanted now was to lie down and be a lazy fish.
But before she could completely lie flat, she still had a few things to do.
First: Give her marriage to her younger sister.
Second: Dig up the two chests of gold buried under the pear tree.
Third: Be nice to the servant in the kitchen. She didn't dare make anyone chop wood again, so she'd temporarily transfer him to her side as a bodyguard.
Oh, and fourth: Learn to swim, so she could be a lazy fish that wouldn't drown.
And, of course, fifth: Get out of there, fast, before the marquis's household is confiscated!
Her plans complete, Lu Youran prepared to return to her maternal family's home in Jiangnan with the gold, under the excuse of meeting a distant cousin for a potential match. But then soldiers surrounded the household again. What was going on?
The servant dismounted in full armor. He had once been forced into hiding after an assassination attempt, and was now Prince Jing, the fourth prince who commanded a great army. "By my side, you can be the most comfortable, carefree lazy fish of all."
Theme: Cherish the people before you
The heroine in this chapter feels really pretentious -_-||
It's over and we haven't even had a wedding yet.
The text is coming to an end, cuties, please stop fattening me QAQ There are also pre-acceptors, begging every little angel to collect it! Your collection really means a lot to me (loudly)! "Nian Li Li (Rebirth)": Marriage first, then love sour and sweet taste "The Reborn Miss' Rebirth Everyday Life": Relax and win the day-to-day life "After crossing paths with the violent regent": The violent and murderous regent x the delicate and soft doormat
Although he is not actually a love rival, the male protagonist is jealous again hahahahahahaha
I feel like my sister line has a story
The male protagonist here should have a loopy yin and yang expression pack: Qi~An~Brother~Brother~
Guess whether Xiao Ling is going to be jealous in the next chapter?
The female goose is so cute. Just reading the dialogue makes me think she is soft and fufu.
Is there really no extra story?
I like this little sun heroine so much
