Blurb:
A new escape room venue recently opened in the south of the city, named "Elysium." Its eerie, terrifying atmosphere and thrilling props have drawn a steady stream of visitors. Tickets are impossible to get online, posts asking for recommendations and check-ins are everywhere, and even thrill-seeking streamers livestream their escape attempts.
Another horror-themed escape game has ended. Ye Wuying snapped her fingers at empty space. A few leaves fell from the potted plant in the corner, the plastic snake overhead flicked its tongue, and the skull in the coffin gleamed...
The demons cried, "Boss! Payday!"
Ye Wuying raised an eyebrow. "Number Three broke a vase, and Number Four scared a customer unconscious. Both of you are getting docked."
The demons: "..."
A crystal-clear stone rested in Ye Wuying's palm. She chuckled. "Don't be sad. Let me introduce you to your new coworker." Amid swirling smoke, a cool, barefoot woman with a white veil covering her face floated in the air.
The demons cried, "Wow! A demoness!"
She lightly touched down on her toes, the corners of her lips lifting slightly. "I am Nanyu."
Suddenly, a deafening scream erupted from the Elysium escape room.
"Five hundred and eighty li farther east lies Mount Nanyu, rich in gold and jade above, with abundant water below."
Key point!! Two mature, powerful women as the leads!! Let me repeat: no love rivals! Strictly one-on-one!
A few things to know:
1. A fictional modern setting, with lots and lots of worldbuilding and demons.
2. I just made it all up. It's all material from my dreams.
3. One day off every Thursday. Even the production team's donkey needs a rest.
4. I'm terrible at writing blurbs!! If you're passing by, don't miss it. Give the free chapters a try.
Coming next:
They say Cangnan is where the wind begins. The wind carries dandelion seeds: freedom and romance that never fade.
Wen Nai met Song Qing again in the old town.
Qingqing. She loved saying it that way, like a lover's tender whisper, full of lingering affection.
Though she was the one with ulterior motives, she still took the initiative, acting on a whim. "Miss Song, are you trying to hit on me?"
Song Qing was speechless for a long moment, then nearly fled.
"Miss Song, remember that?"
"What?"
"Wen Nai. That's my name."
Later, Song Qing finished her business trip and returned to Nancheng, locking away the old town's shimmering days in a box, along with the feelings she couldn't speak of, and sinking it to the bottom of the lake.
The next day was the project department's celebration banquet. For once, Song Qing skipped work to see the snow-white cat she'd been pining for all night downstairs.
In her slippers, she lazily made her way downstairs, only to suddenly meet the eyes of someone beneath the shade of a tree.
Holding a cat in her arms, Wen Nai was as lovely as a painting. She smiled. "Miss Song, long time no see."
She spoke as casually as a passing breeze, but Song Qing's heart rippled. She lowered her gaze, walked closer, and handed over half a bag of cat food. "Wen Nai, what a coincidence."
Wen Nai's gaze was calm. "Not a coincidence. I've been waiting for you."
"The magnolias at Baoyun Ferry are blooming. Do you have time, Miss Song?"
"I do."
"Miss Song, your ears are red."
I walk alongside the clear light, my love burning bright and fierce.
Theme: All things have spirit, and even grass and trees have hearts.
