Timeline: After the events of Mass Effect 1, before Mass Effect 2 begins

Trigger: After the Normandy is impounded, Kaidan and Shepard share an ambiguous embrace, but there are no romantic scenes.

While the Normandy is undergoing "repairs" after its commander is put on trial, Shepard decides to visit Kaidan's family on Earth. But before he can sort out his feelings, a strange magnetic storm forces his plane to make an emergency landing in a vast snowy wilderness. And that's only the beginning of his troubles.

Will he manage to find Kaidan? When will the two of them realize how they feel about each other?

The answer is in the wind, in the snowfield that swallows everything.
