Doomsday Game

April 13, 2046.

A massive disaster swept across the globe. Countless bizarre monsters appeared all over the world and slaughtered humanity.

Human weapons could barely harm the monsters. Just as it seemed the world was about to be destroyed, beings calling themselves gods descended. Some of these "gods" devoted themselves to killing monsters, roaming the world, while others helped humanity build new cities and kingdoms, creating sanctuaries amid the apocalypse.

At last, humanity could struggle against the sudden disaster, clinging desperately to life.

The "gods" were humanity's saviors.

Chu Xiu thought so too, until one day she came across a dying "god" and obtained something extraordinary from him.

"Beep. System activated. Welcome, player, to the Second World. The third ranking match is underway. Respawn countdown, respawn countdown. Beep. No player detected. Respawn failed."

It turned out there were no gods in this world, only demons crawling out of the abyss.

Only humanity can save humanity.

A note from the author:

1. The heroine will be very strong, but she has to go through a leveling-up process.

2. This could be considered an inversion of the Fourth Industrial Revolution trope? It's a story written for my own amusement. Corrections are welcome, but please don't argue just for the sake of it. If anything makes you uncomfortable, click the upper-right corner and get out in time.

3. December 20, 2021. Drafting now, with the dream of starting the novel in 2022.

Theme: Never give in to fate
