Reborn as Daji: Turning the Tide and Becoming a God

After her father was defeated, Daji became the captive King Zhou had specifically demanded and was sent to the capital, Zhaoge, to become his concubine. But on the way, a fox demon tried to possess her. At the brink of life and death, she suddenly connected with the Six Paths of Reincarnation in the underworld and summoned the ghost officials Ox-Head and Horse-Face. Ox-Head locked the fox demon away in the netherworld, while Horse-Face clung to her leg and shouted, "Empress Houtu! The underworld needs you!" Daji, who had just escaped death: ??? * After Daji inherited the underworld, the Three Realms underwent earth-shaking changes On the fifteenth day of the seventh month, the gates of the underworld opened, and ancestors who had been dead for years returned to lecture their descendants. "This year, we won't accept gifts for ancestor worship. The only offerings we'll accept are incense and spirit money approved by the underworld!" Their descendants: ??? * The Jade Emperor heard the underworld had come up with another new policy and wanted to summon the undercover agent he'd previously sent there to get an explanation. Unexpectedly, the agent flatly refused and declared excitedly, "In life, I am a god of the underworld. In death, I'll be a ghost god of the underworld! Your Majesty, please stop contacting me. If someone reports me, it'll affect my promotion and raise!" The Jade Emperor: ??? * Bonus scene In King Zhou's harem. After another failed marriage proposal, the Tongtian Cult Leader went to King Zhou, Di Xin, who was still reviewing memorials. "Kick Daji out of the palace! Now! Right this instant!" "...I wouldn't dare." Di Xin looked completely sincere. "A Sage can kidnap her himself. I'll support you in spirit." Tongtian: "Ha... I wouldn't dare either." Daji, busy building her career x domineering little wife Tongtian (not really) [Note] 1. King Zhou isn't a tyrant, but he has a wife and sons, so he and the heroine are just friends. 3. The gods and Buddhas in this story have nothing to do with orthodox mythology. There are a lot of original worldbuilding elements.
