Did you know? Besides humans, the only animals that choose to take their own lives are whales and dolphins. Despairing, weary whales ram their huge bodies against rocks until they run aground and die.

Yu Jingyu always thought she was a cold-blooded animal trapped underwater, until one day Yang Fei told her: Little whales are actually warm-blooded animals!

Yang Fei always thought she was a footless bird, destined to wander across the country with a pack on her back, until one day Yu Jingyu told her: Even a weary bird can return to its nest!

*A story of two people saving each other on a small island. Written for my own enjoyment, started on a whim, and likely to go off outline. The writing is at an elementary-school level. A heads-up: the beginning is very oppressive, gloomy, and melodramatic, like angsty youth fiction. It won't be especially satisfying. The only thing I can promise is that the little bird and little fish will have a happy ending.
