Mr. Oikawa Wants to Ride Shotgun

[Coming soon: Kuroo-senpai Wants to Be My Only Fan. Please add it to your collection. Blurb at the end.] On the eve of Christmas in their first year of high school, Aoba Johsai's wildly popular volleyball player Oikawa is busy planning his confession. "Mochiyui, will you be my girlfriend?" "I like how you always pay attention in class and help me with my homework. I know I keep bothering you, but you always respond so kindly..." "I like how you're so disciplined, but kind of clumsy..." "I want to try more things with you, play together, travel together, and try all kinds of extreme sports..." "So, Mochiyui, can you give me an answer?" Just as he rehearses in his head, his best buddy Iwaizumi rushes over and slams a racing magazine onto his desk. On the cover is the very person he plans to confess to, Mochiyui Kaionji. The headline reads, "A woman racer with both recklessness and composure: Japan's newest champion in junior formula racing." They stare at each other in silence for a full five minutes. Oikawa: "What are you trying to say?" Iwaizumi: "You idiot, Oikawa. Don't tell me you didn't even know the person you like is a racing driver!" Oikawa: "I really didn't know!!" After pursuing her for a whole semester, Oikawa Toru finally discovers that his crush isn't a prim, straight-laced model student, but a racing driver crazier than anyone else... 1. A Haikyu!! and racing crossover fanfic. Oikawa is the love interest. 2. The heroine is a gorgeous, overpowered badass. 3. Romance is the focus. I won't go into detail about volleyball matches, and the racing events are all made up. I'm an outsider, so I'm just writing about high schoolers falling in love. Please don't scrutinize the competition details too much. I'm bowing my head to you over and over! 4. The results of the matches in the original story won't change. I wish Aoba Johsai could win for once, too, but I've decided not to change it. Sob. 5. If anything is poorly written or displeases you, feel free to criticize the author. It's all my fault. Please don't criticize other readers, characters, or the original work. I'm bowing my head to you over and over! Kuroo-senpai Wants to Be My Only Fan After Kenma Kozume, his friend at Nekoma High, becomes a streamer, Tetsuro Kuroo gets hooked on watching virtual streamers, too. His favorite is obviously the hugely popular "Xia Xia." Her appearance, personality, and voice are all exactly his type, and he devotes most of his free time to her, hoping to interact with her more. Then one day, virtual streamer Xia Xia happens to tell a funny story from her life during a livestream. Kuroo Tetsuro thinks it sounds familiar, like something Kenma told him about last month... At first, he doesn't think much of it. But then similar incidents keep happening, and every one of them involves the same girl: Natsuko Nishikawa, who is in Kenma's class. Virtual streamer Xia Xia has been a little anxious lately. Even her million followers and million-yen earnings can't put her at ease. It started when one of her longtime viewers, someone who had been there since she first started streaming, began posting a string of strange comments. By a "coincidence," they had some mysterious connection to her real identity: Natsuko Nishikawa, a student at Nekoma High. Of course she's anxious! If a virtual streamer gets exposed, her million-follower account and all that money will be gone forever! On top of that, Kenma Kozume's tall friend with the rooster-cut hair keeps staring at her in class. Don't think she hasn't noticed the Xia Xia merch badge on his schoolbag!
