I want to get closer, but I'm afraid to.
In the push and pull, it feels as if my soul is being torn in two.
One light after another glows in the windows across the city,
while I wander like a ghost through the endless night.
It isn't the inescapable brilliance of the sun.
It's a campfire burning in a frozen wasteland,
making someone on the verge of freezing to death stumble toward it, desperate to draw near.
Oh, God, is that warmth meant just for me?
God remains silent, offering no answer.
This story borrows part of the setting of The World's Greatest First Love, as well as the character Saga Masamune. It's a parallel-world story about Saga Masamune, starting again from the library arc.
PS: If you haven't read The World's Greatest First Love, you can enjoy this as a completely new story. If you have read it, I hope you won't dislike it because of all the changes I've made to the original.
Finally, I hope you have an enjoyable reading experience.
PPS: Updates every night at 8:00 starting February 2. The entire story is already written, so feel free to dive in.
Theme: The World's Greatest First Love as I see it.
