[The Jia Brothers] I Built a Buddhist Hall in Dream of the Red Chamber

Su Ningyu had just graduated from a Buddhist college and was lying in bed, pondering her future. Should she get a job and live at home as a lay Buddhist, or cut her hair and become a nun?

In the middle of the night, someone sang "The Song of Burying Flowers." Its heartbroken, sorrowful melody gave her nightmares all night.

When she woke, she found herself in a bed beneath red silk curtains and a brocade quilt. A smiling young woman lifted the gauze curtain and said, "Second Master, you're awake at last. I've already made tea."

Su Ningyu: "..." Am I still dreaming? Let me sleep a little longer.

She later learned that she'd become Baoyu, the darling of the Grand View Garden.

Luckily, she'd read Dream of the Red Chamber, um... a little bit.

Making tea and boiling snow each day, gathering with friends to write poetry: the life of a spoiled young master was far too decadent (wonderful)!

Su Ningyu declared, "Girls and maids, don't leave. Let's all practice Buddhism together."

The girls: "Baoyu's gone even crazier."

1. A woman becomes a man, with the romance between the two Jades turned up to the max.

2. No one is villainized, and the characters stay true to the original.
