I Picked Up a Merman King

I, Shen Ke, am the editor-in-chief of a popular science magazine with a master's degree, and lately I've been troubled.

Because I've transmigrated into the Shanhai Tribe and become the clan leader's "useless" son. That's not the worst of it. What's even more frightening is that this world still believes in feudal superstition. So I decide to pursue science in this unscientific world.

Later, I bring a merman back to the tribe. As it happens, he also opposes superstition, so we hit it off immediately.

To put an end to it once and for all, I resolutely go ashore to stir up (anti-superstition) trouble. But I get lost and am picked up by a weak beastfolk who takes me back to his tribe.

Later, I discover that this beastfolk not only has an extraordinary background, but also glows. And... he's kind of cute.

And that's how I, Nan Jiao, became Shen Ke the science-promoting big cat's chief assistant and mate.
