Hu Li is reborn as the frail cub of a snow fox family, in a world where everyone can turn into an animal!
After the initial shock, Hu Li quickly calms down. In his previous life, he was a ginseng spirit who had just gotten into the Demon Bureau's youth program. How is this any more fantastical than that?
Food is scarce here, the soil is poor, and the beastfolk have little enthusiasm for farming.
Then one day, the crops in the tribe suddenly start growing lush and plentiful.
And all the places where they grow have one thing in common: they were once watered with water Hu Li had used.
Hu Li: ...So I have a ginseng physique again?!
Even a ginseng spirit from China has the genes of a farmer etched into his soul!
Hu Li gradually builds up the tribe, farming and raising livestock until he becomes their priest and helps all the beastfolk live good lives.
The beastfolk treasure their little priest, too. Their tiny cub runs wild around the tribe and even gets to pet all the fluffy animals there. Bliss!
And the little black lion Hu Li once rescued sticks by his side from then on, becoming his guardian and never leaving him again.
Little scene:
When they're grown up.
Black Lion: "I heard that where you're from, they tie red strings around ginseng so it won't get lost."
The black lion finds a red string from who knows where and ties it around Hu Li. "Now you can't run away, right?"
Hu Li: When did I ever tell you that?!
Maxed-out strength, extremely possessive black lion x frail, fluffy-animal-loving genius snow fox (ginseng spirit)

Blurb for The Rebellious Young Master and His Run-Down Academy from the Start:
Xia Tianxun, heir to a merchant family in the Great Xi Dynasty, looks down on everyone and loves to argue back, even in the village school.
One day, the teacher says pointedly, "...Some people ought to study hard. As the saying goes, 'If you don't understand the classics, you might as well go back to farming.'"
Xia Tianxun turns to his classmate. "What's wrong with farming? Without the people who work the fields, would our teacher be eating shit all the time?"
Teacher: "You! What crude language!"
If Xia Tianxun didn't have some real talent, his sharp tongue would have gotten him expelled from school long ago.
What's more, the Great Xi Dynasty prizes filial piety.
Knowing his father likes visiting brothels, Xia Tianxun follows his example, but spends all the family money buying the women their freedom, leaving his father with nowhere to go.
Afterward, he dusts himself off, packs his bags, and runs back to the countryside with Yue Cheng.
But the academy his mother left behind in the countryside is on the verge of closing. If no one takes charge, the county government will reclaim it before long.
Xia Tianxun yells at the person who came to take it over: "Don't rush me! I've still got a few months!"
This dilapidated academy is exactly where he'll make something of himself.
Years later, a renowned academy rises to prominence!
Little scene:
Only when he's with Yue Cheng does Xia Tianxun seem to turn back into an obedient young man.
Yue Cheng is carefree and skilled in martial arts. By day, he's Xia Tianxun's study companion; when they go out, he's his bodyguard; at home, he's the one who warms his bed.
Yue Cheng: "It's going to rain."
Xia Tianxun mutters, "What a pain. Let's hurry up."
Then he obediently lets Yue Cheng put his rain cape on him.
Xia Tianxun overdoes it clearing land and ends up with an aching back and waist.
Yue Cheng: "Go rest, or I won't sleep with you tonight."
Xia Tianxun pouts. "Oh."
Because Yue Cheng is no ordinary person. He is the one Xia Tianxun loves most in the world.
