Transmigrated to the Sword Saint's Youth

Lin Ruo transmigrates into a xianxia novel featuring killing one's wife to prove the Dao, running away while pregnant, and a groveling ex who tries to win his wife back. Because she lives right across from the Sage Healer, she often runs into all kinds of bizarre patients he treats. Then she meets a young man covered in wounds, with his sword bones shattered, and learns his name is Xie Xuansheng, the Sword Sage from the original novel, so overpowered and full of broken abilities that almost every time he appears, he's been targeted in advance and is either injured or poisoned. He's never allowed to be at full strength. The main story of the male and female leads' tragic love is still decades away. Several powerful figures who have names and lines in the original novel are still fresh-faced young newcomers. And the original novel's appalling scumbag male lead is Xie Xuansheng's closest disciple. They say sword cultivators have a tradition of killing their wives to prove the Dao. Lin Ruo: ... Xie Xuansheng, not yet a powerful figure at the time, had delicate features, a gentle and calm temperament, and a steady, dependable nature. Occasionally, he even showed a little youthful bravado. He seemed entirely unlikely to commit the kind of scummy acts described in those rumors. Later, Xie Xuansheng set out to rebuild his sword bones, while Lin Ruo sought to improve her cultivation. Together, they embarked on a journey. But the final step in rebuilding his sword bones was what people in the cultivation world called "killing one's wife to prove the Dao." Theme: Killing your wife to prove the Dao is unacceptable. Cultivators must have the right values.
