Second Marriage [Insectoid]

This is a fictional setting with no connection to reality. Please don't relate it to real life. [Please read the content warnings before starting. A principled transmigrated top x a beautiful, strong, yet tragic female Zerg bottom. The top cherishes and heals the bottom. Happy ending.] Chu An, a single male office worker, transmigrates from modern society into the world of the Zerg and becomes a male Zerg. As an unremarkable “D-rank” male Zerg, he chooses not to integrate into Zerg society, where males are revered and females are subservient. Instead, he takes advantage of the excellent benefits that ensure male Zerg never go hungry or want for anything, rediscovers his childhood dream of writing, and becomes a web novelist with some popularity on the StarNet. He lives quietly, reading and writing, perfectly content. He thought this peaceful, comfortable life would last forever, but then the government suddenly assigns him a “wife.” His wife is a female Zerg, a major general with numerous military honors. Freshly divorced from her previous husband, she is escorted to Chu An by members of the Reproduction Promotion Association. After more than twenty years of being single and never having had a proper relationship, Chu An finds himself married just like that. Please note: This story is set in an unequal Zerg society, but both the protagonists and the author condemn this twisted social inequality. The protagonist will fight to change the status quo. Important content warnings: 1. Although this story focuses on the top, the bottom also gets a fair amount of page time. (For reference, here are several reader comments that the author doesn't agree with but has heard often: the top is a background character, the top is an airheaded sweetheart, the bottom is the main character, the author favors the bottom while writing a story focused on the top.) 2. The bottom is strong. Comments complaining that he's not strong enough after only reading the first chapter or two will be deleted. [The bottom is not an entirely innocent character, especially in the early and middle parts of the story.] 3. The top is an ordinary person. After transmigrating, he becomes a bestselling writer on the Zerg planet, works hard, and earns a lot. He doesn't live off others, and he's not D-rank, but he's not a powerful top in the usual sense, either. 4. The setting is a mishmash. 5. There is no NTR plot! Stop spreading rumors that there is NTR in this story. There isn't! 6. Please follow the author's page. Thank you! Theme: Love makes us better people
