Liu Sui died a gruesome death at eighteen, yet he didn’t become an evil spirit.
Imprisoned in hell for years, he felt neither grief nor resentment. Instead, he seemed to be on the verge of ascending to immortality.
Seeing that the Buddha’s light around him was becoming impossible to suppress, the King of Hell roared, "Is my underworld a stepping stone for you gods and ghosts or what?!"
So Liu Sui was kicked back into the mortal world, where he experienced the warmth and coldness of human nature and the harshness of the world.
At that time, the culprit who had made him into something neither human nor ghost was still a little child, barely up to his knee. The child could hardly speak clearly, yet was already baring his teeth and fighting stray dogs for food.
He was even more wretched and evil than in his previous life.
To help the little child become a better person, Liu Sui took him in and raised him by his side.
After patiently teaching him in every way, the child became obedient, sweet, and well-behaved.
Satisfied that he had resolved one of his concerns, Liu Sui began thinking about finding a companion to spend the rest of his life with.
Who would have thought he’d soon be trapped in the arms of a man who had somehow grown taller than him? The man gently bit his sensitive ear, then whispered hoarsely:
"Big brother, you belong to me."
