Fu Ruojun and Lu Shiqian first met in an elevator.

Fu Ruojun stood properly inside the elevator, waiting for the doors to close. Lu Shiqian stood outside without getting in. When only a narrow gap remained, a hand casually reached in to stop the doors, and they opened again.

Fu Ruojun raised his eyes and gave Lu Shiqian an indifferent glance.

Lu Shiqian didn't get in. Standing outside the elevator, he stared with wide, round eyes like a cat, then gave Fu Ruojun an apologetic smile.

After it happened a third time, Fu Ruojun didn't waste a single word. He stepped out and punched Lu Shiqian in the stomach, spitting out two words as if through clenched teeth: “What's wrong with you?”

After straightening his tailored suit, Fu Ruojun slipped one hand into his pocket and turned to get back into the elevator, only to find it had already reached the fourth floor.

Fu Ruojun: “...”

What a nuisance.

When Fu Ruojun was about to graduate, his department held a basketball game. Lu Shiqian brought a huge bouquet of flowers to cheer him on.

Fu Ruojun showed off his skills now and then. He leaped into the air for a powerful dunk, and the backboard trembled slightly when he landed. The whole crowd went wild.

Someone shouted, “Brother Fu, are you showing off for your wife?”

The moment the words were out, the crowd went into an uproar. Brother Fu's wife? Who? Which little homewrecker had beaten everyone to it?!

Fu Ruojun looked down at the basketball and smiled without answering.
