Fu Yuxi chuckled softly. “Who was it that flirted with me and then ran away?”

That day, when Pei Zhuo looked toward the door for the third time, he finally saw the person who should have arrived long ago.

Pei Zhuo, who normally minded his own business, couldn't help stepping in to sort it out.

He didn't get a thank-you. Instead, Sheng Nianchu summoned up his courage and asked: “Boss, can I bring my cat to the shop with me from now on?”

He certainly never expected to be pursued by someone like Pei Zhuo, a cool, scary, ridiculously rich young master.

But when Pei Zhuo crouched in front of him like a big puppy and playfully poked Sheng Nianchu's palm with his freshly buzzed hair, Sheng Nianchu's heart skipped a beat.

When Pei Zhuo used that sour-looking face to teach a kitten to say “meow,” without changing his expression, Sheng Nianchu's heart skipped another beat.

And when Pei Zhuo looked at him with the coldest expression and said the gentlest words, Sheng Nianchu fell hard.

Maybe dating wasn't completely out of the question?
