Rumor has it that two top-tier stars in the music industry were high school classmates.
Shen Shu, a beloved child of heaven; Lin Chengxi, a breathtaking beauty.
When the show invited them to perform together, the reply was: "With Lin Chengxi there, I'm not going, Shen Shu."
After the topic trended for a week, Lin Chengxi released a new song, "I Keep My Word," as carefree and uninhibited as Shen Shu, the reckless bastard he'd been in his youth.
What a perfect match.
Their CP fans searched through shards of glass for scraps of sweetness and shipped them until they lost all sense of time, but neither of the two budged.
Before long, however, Lin Chengxi was rumored to be dating an actor. People said he was her first love, and that they'd reunited while recording a song, rekindling their old flame.
Her studio hadn't even had time to issue an urgent denial when Shen Shu was photographed at the airport. Without even glancing at the camera, he said with carefree abandon, "The rumor about Lin Chengxi? It's false. I'm her first love."

Everyone thought Shen Shu would surely be the one in control of this relationship. After all, a roguish playboy like him didn't look like the sort who'd devote his whole life to any woman.
But when Lin Chengxi reentered Shen Shu's life, people dug up evidence that he'd been openly confessing his love in his lyrics long ago, and that he'd found all kinds of excuses to appear alongside Lin Chengxi. He'd even had three letters tattooed on his waist: L.C.X.
It's not that the beloved child of heaven wouldn't bow his head. It's that the breathtaking beauty wouldn't turn back.
After the news broke, the whole internet demanded to know the truth. One sentence from the person involved brought Weibo to a standstill.
[@Shen Shu: Yes, I'm pursuing him.]
Fans: I've brought the marriage registry over. So when are these two top-tier stars getting back together?!
"It's not that I don't want to see you again. It's that seeing you again means I can't help falling for you."
"But I'm willing to fall for you, tens of thousands of times over."
