As a half-baked member of a down-and-out family of exorcists, Lu Wangsheng's greatest dream is to banish evil and protect the world. Well, world peace might be a bit far off, so he'll start by keeping the peace at school.

But as a half-baked exorcist, he clearly can't achieve his dream on his own. So the first step is to catch a ghost or monster and make it his underling.

Fortunately, his family does have a few things to its name, such as their ancestral magical artifact. Legend has it that any ghost or monster that touches it will be bound by a forced contract and become an exorcist's familiar.

So Lu Wangsheng grabbed his gear and excitedly went hunting for prey in the school building in the middle of the night.

Lu Wangsheng: Just put this on, and you'll be my ghost!

And then he got beaten up.

Bai Xianli: Is something wrong with your head? [He turned to leave, only to accidentally step on something.]

Bai Xianli: ...Ah.

Lu Wangsheng: ...You stepped on it yourself.
