The Cyberpunk Sword-Cleansing Manual

You have been reborn.

In your previous life, while still a college student, you were swept up alongside millions of other players in a real game that would decide humanity's fate.

The game was set in a cyberpunk martial-arts world that was highly advanced and highly chaotic:

There was all kinds of futuristic technology, including mechs; a court resembling a federal government; super-conglomerates led by the nine great martial-world sects; and dangerous, savage demons from another dimension...

You and the players trapped in this world struggled to grow stronger while being hunted by all sides, yet you still couldn't prevent the two worlds from merging. When the game and the real world fused, disaster followed, and you died in the war.

After waking up, you discovered that you had been reborn as a native of this world, with five years remaining until the players arrived.

In short, you had become an NPC.

But don't panic. There's one piece of good news and one piece of bad news.

The good news: You have a player character screen. What's more, you've been reborn as a fourteen-year-old spoiled rich kid. You have plenty to eat and wear, and can safely develop your strength.

The bad news: Your father is a corrupt official. In an hour, the imperial court's Imperial Saber Guard will kick down your front door and chop off your head with alloy embroidered spring sabers made from fifth-generation super-nanomaterials.

They're already on their way.

"..."

You ponder for a moment, then decide to take the money and run.

PS:

1. A cyberpunk martial-arts world with a satisfying power-progression story.

2. The early chapters focus on leveling up. Players won't feature until the middle and later stages.

3. This is a fictional world. Please don't draw parallels with reality.

Theme: Stay true to your original aspirations and never give up in the face of adversity
