Conquering My Deep-Sea Mermaid Rival

[New novel now available: My Sweetheart Is Carrying Her Childhood Friend's Baby]

Blurb:

When their neighbor Sweetie had a birthday, his friends invited Klein next door to celebrate. Klein went home to grab something, and on his way back, he heard Sweetie's friends talking outside the door...

Friend 1: Sweetie, where did you find this country bumpkin friend? I'm dying of laughter.

Friend 2: The way he looks at you is disgusting. Honestly, he should take a look at himself.

Friend 3: Then why invite him?

Friend 1: Isn't a birthday party missing a clown? Right, Sweetie?

Klein peered through the half-open door. A handsome young man with blond hair and blue eyes lounged on the sofa, idly playing with his glass. Hearing his friends tease him, he gave a faint "Mm."

Klein pushed the door open and went in. Under everyone's astonished gaze, he placed the gift on the table and turned to leave.

Before he left, he caught sight of Sweetie's hand tightening on the sofa, as if he wanted to push himself up and go after him.

Klein slammed the door shut. He never went to see him again.

Seven years later, after returning from a voyage, Klein saw a mute girl who looked a lot like Sweetie near his home.

She said she was Sweetie's younger sister and moved into his house.

On the first day, Klein combed her hair for her.

On the second day, she hurt her foot, and Klein treated the wound.

On the third day, her old illness flared up and the pain was unbearable, so Klein held her and told her to bite his arm.

On the fourth day, she turned into Sweetie!

Klein: Sweetie and dogs are not allowed in my house.

The blond boy from back then had grown into a tall, captivating man. He trapped Klein between his arms and said, lowering his head, "I was wrong. Please fall for me again."

Legend has it that a merfolk clan lives in the Windsor Sea. Merfolk are born beautiful, and those of the highest bloodline can choose their sex at will. They have three chances to transform in their lifetime, and during the transformation period, it's hard to tell whether a merfolk is male or female.

Klein: If you love me, shouldn't you turn into a woman for me?

Sweetie+: But I want to hold you.

Klein: #@%&

Aloof merman top x easygoing half-blood, happy ending, bittersweet melodrama.
