My Boyfriend Is a Superhero

*First-person narration

*Short, sweet, feel-good story

I'm an ordinary rich kid, good at living it up. I'm into men, and I like financially supporting every handsome young man in need out of love.

But my plans fell apart with my very first beneficiary.

He has a gorgeous face and a great figure. There's nothing about his looks or personality to criticize.

So I resolutely gave up an entire forest for him, deciding to hang myself on this one rare, tall and sturdy tree.

But lately, I suspect he's changed his heart. He's often late for our dates, and he frequently disappears to use the bathroom while we're out. When I press him, he always dodges the question...

Most importantly, he doesn't spend my money anymore!

Is this normal?

I thought it over all night and decided to set him free.

After all, we loved each other once.

Three days after I broke up with him and blocked all his contact details, a bunch of strange people showed up outside my house, crying and begging me to get back together with my ex.

Their reason was that the hero who saved the world had become depressed after his breakup and was slacking off, so the world was on the verge of destruction. They hoped I'd be kind enough to save the world.

Me: ...This is ridiculous.
