[God's-Eye-View Blurb]
[Highlight: This is a genre the author isn't good at, so read with caution. Insults will bounce right back.]
On February 14, Shenmi Palace in the Northern Lands suffered a terrible disaster.
The poor palace walls were scorched by fire and eaten away by insects, and a whole stretch of them collapsed.
As the palace servants cleaned up the mess, they grumbled bitterly about Miss Qi, the adopted daughter of King Zhao.
"A beautiful face brings disaster! She actually made His Highness the Heir and General Pei fight so fiercely over her!"
"Look at her, spending every day in the Court of Attendants studying music, chess, calligraphy, and painting. She's really going to great lengths!"
"..."
Qi Hong happened to overhear their whispers and pondered them for a moment.
She realized that both of her murky relationships were the result of her fists.
Back then, the general was still an arrogant young nobleman, rash and brimming with confidence.
"No woman is good enough for a handsome man like me!"
"You're so unattractive that you leave me without a single worldly desire."
Then she got into a public fight with him, nearly ruining that handsome face.
After that...
Him: Hey! Wife!
Qi Hong: ?
Back then, the heir was still a capricious, lovesick, and strange sorcerer who was fond of sitting on rooftops, swinging his legs and tilting his head.
"You're so fierce."
"Why not replace the person in your memories with me?"
Then she killed two of his secret identities with a pair of knives and punched him in the head.
After that...
Him: Aww, hubby.
Qi Hong: ??
[First-Person Blurb]
The person who adopted me said that when he picked me up from a ditch, I was still a swaddled infant. My breathing was faint, but my fists were clenched tight.
My fists really did come in handy.
When I was a wanderer, I fought for steamed buns rolling in the mud. In the midst of a chaotic army, I earned a reputation as a ruthless killer. And even though I'd been captured, a young nobleman took an interest in my skills.
The young master was surnamed Pei. Behind him stood an army of seven hundred thousand, and his father was the greatest warrior in the Nine Provinces.
Grateful, I became his right-hand woman, until he rose to become a general.
Until I took the blame for him and was thrown into a thicket of thorns, pierced to the bone.
"Do you hate me?"
The man who'd brought me to this point asked.
I suppose I should have hated the royal father who abandoned me, the twin sister who wanted me to be her shadow, and the sinister sorcerer in front of me, who meant to drain my blood and cut out my heart.
But I clenched my fists, even as thorns pierced my entire body.
"I'm angry."
"I'm angry at myself for being powerless."
As always, I managed to survive.
Then the strange magic that concealed my true appearance was lifted.
And then all of Daxing City was in an uproar, because I had entered Tianlu Palace as Princess Zhenning.
The city's elite all said I was vulgar and violent, punching the heir and kicking the chancellor.
Well, that's true.
The noble ladies all mocked me for having a face far more beautiful than my birth sister's, yet surely no one would want to marry me.
Well... I hope that's true.
For the first time, I discovered that there were things in this world my fists couldn't solve.
But I still chose him.
"Everyone says that you and he were together as children, that you were made for each other. What about me?"
"You're poison wine, and I drink deeply."
Note:
1. A first-person story with a retro feel, mixing sweet moments and angst. When it's sweet, it's incredibly sweet and adorable; when it's angsty, the twists hit hard! The events and characters all revolve around the heroine. Plot and romance get equal focus. She's strong, but not the kind of heroine who effortlessly dominates everyone. She suffers a lot early on, and her tragic circumstances are genuinely written as such: a beautiful, strong, and tragic heroine.
2. Lots of romantic rivalry. The second male lead is a bold and free-spirited young general who appears early and has an important role.
3. The male lead is a stunning, little madman, a scheming green tea who goes "aww" all the time. He uses sorcery on people, and it works on him too.
Early on, he's the heroine's enemy and treats her badly! Read with caution if that's a dealbreaker!
Later, he becomes sweet, clingy, obedient, and virtuous, a top student in the school of proper conduct for men.
4. One-on-one pairing, happy ending.
P.S. This story doesn't have a very strong classical feel. Some of my wording may sound like I've transmigrated (.) I think it's part of my personal style, and I can't change it. Sorry...
Theme: May you endure hardships for half your life, then find someone to share a peaceful life with.
Wuwuwuwu I don't know why I am more sad. Honghong is not the tougher and softer Honghong. Although Pei Pei is still sunny, he is not the grown up Pei Pei. Even if he comes back, he will not be them again. Wuwuwuwu
This chapter really made me feel uncomfortable. Although I am happy that the little princess has become a good person, I can't help but think of Honghong and the boy with the gun at the beginning. The first love of a boy is the most hurtful. One said that boy deserves the love of the world, and the other wrote a book to express his love.
I would like to call this chapter a loser with no winner.
Wow wow wow, after watching the extra, I feel that Xiao Ji is still suitable for the heroine. She is happiest and freest with him.
Pei Zheng: I lost Xiaoji: I lost too Xiaohong: If you all lose, just come home with me.
Hug Honghong, they make you sad, I won't make you sad
Woooooooooooo why can't the three of us be together?
Please, where are the family members?
I still feel that Xiao Pei is so miserable. How come he still has to face the risk of being cheated on after marrying a wife? Hahaha
Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
