My Uncle Nan He

*Short story, BL, BL, BL; BE, BE, BE!!! (Though the style may not feel very BE)

*There is a body-double plot later on, so please proceed with caution if that's not your thing. Orz

When I was five, my dad died in a car accident. Our family had been doing all right, but after that everything went downhill. My paternal grandparents had to bury their son, and their hair turned completely white overnight.

A year later, my mom took me and remarried.

One night, when my stepfather was drunk, my uncle suddenly appeared like a hero dropping from the sky. He said he had been my dad's classmate in high school, and that he would help make my wish come true.

My uncle was a mystery. My grandparents, my mom, and my stepfather couldn't figure out what he was doing there or why he had come. Even I, the one closest to him, didn't understand until a few years later, by a strange coincidence.

It was all because of one person.

But he had long since left this world.
