Falling in Love with a Demon

As the least favored youngest son of the emperor, the Duke of Roses was banished to the remote, far-flung Red Moon Continent.

A savage land where nothing grew and poisonous miasma hung in the air all year round.

When Mu Xi transmigrated, he was already riding in a carriage bound for the Red Moon Continent.

There was no food here.

Mu Xi: But there are endless deposits of rare minerals!

There were no residents here, only disgraced officials, lowborn people, and adventurers who valued their lives least of all.

Mu Xi: If they're people, they can work!

Rumor had it that the Red Moon Continent was so desolate because a demon's lair lay there.

Whenever the moon was full over the Red Moon Continent, demons would emerge and wreak havoc.

Mu Xi: Demons? If I catch one... could I sell it for a good price?

On the night of the full moon, the Duke of Roses led his army to the edge of the Dimeng Forest.

They were raring for a fight.

But instead of the terrifying demons they had imagined, they found a fluffy little... wolf pup?

The babyish sort that rubs against your trouser leg and yips, "Awoo, awoo."

Mu Xi, a fluff enthusiast: ...

I can't resist.

Later, the wolf pup took human form.

Skin like white porcelain, crimson eyes, and a single horn atop his head gleaming with dark radiance.

The peerlessly handsome young demon pressed against the Rose Lord and rasped, "Master..."

Mu Xi: "..."

I can't handle this.

With a flick of his fingers, the most desolate land on the Red Moon Continent burst into bloom with red poppies.

Their vivid color dyed half the sky crimson.

Everyone said the horn atop the demons' heads was the one thing that must never be touched, like a dragon's reverse scale.

Mu Xi gripped the Demon Lord's precious horn, rubbing his aching lower back as he gritted his teeth. "You little wolf pup, get off my bed."

Premise: Even dry soil can grow beautiful flowers, as long as we keep hope in our hearts.
