[Golden-Haired, Blue-Eyed Archmage x Catlike Dark Elf]
The youngest prodigy archmage in the history of the Scripps family,
Flora Scripps,
had finally reached the age when she was expected to attend arranged marriage meetings.
But each of these foolish suitors made more outrageous demands than the last: from complete freedom and no interference after marriage, to unconditional support for their family’s younger generation, to sharing her mage tower...
Flora had had enough. At last, she poured a cup of tea over her suitor’s head, bringing yet another matchmaking tea party to an end.
The Duchess of Scripps, who had a title to pass on at home, had had enough too. She kicked her unfilial daughter out and declared that she wasn’t allowed back until she found someone to marry. Otherwise, she could spend the rest of her life shut away in her mage tower.
With nowhere else to turn, Flora decided to buy a companion and raise him from scratch.
Inspired by a friend, she eventually chose the infamous dark elves. After all, their holy and beautiful surface-dwelling relatives were practically impossible to get one’s hands on.
Fortunately, these underground elves with dark skin and silver hair were every bit as breathtakingly beautiful as the surface elves. Once she got used to their looks, she found their chocolate-colored skin and dangerous, glowing red eyes rather alluring.
As for her future companion’s other little flaws, she would make him change them one by one.
The Male Lead’s Version:
Many years later, Sol still remembered.
Back then, his family had just lost a war, and his people were scattered. He was locked in a tiny cage, cramped and filthy, displayed for people to choose like a piece of merchandise.
That was where they first met.
She looked him over with a critical eye. Her rosy lips parted and closed as she gently spoke the first words she ever said to him:
“If you cheat, I’ll kill you.”
Reader’s Guide:
1. One-on-one romance, with a single-couple ending.
2. This is not a powerful female lead story. The heroine isn’t domineering. The blurb’s premise is just the result of her strong aversion to emotional infidelity and an obsessive tendency to take things too far.
3. Updates follow the rankings.

“Repaying a Debt Is Fine, But Romance Is Off the Table”
While taking a walk in the forest, Hoxier found a dying gray-haired puppy.
It was drenched in blood from head to toe, its right leg chewed by a beast. Barely clinging to life, it was just one step from death. The puppy struggled to open its amber eyes, filled with a desire to live.
In that moment, Hoxier saw his sick, dying mother in the puppy, and himself, clinging to life because of his illness. He took it back to the estate, cared for it devotedly, and named it Belsa.
After recovering, Belsa became the best companion for Hoxier, who was bedridden year-round.
She brought him the first flower of spring.
She ran through the sunlight, then leaped into his arms to cuddle, her fur warm from the sun.
She drove away servants with ill intentions.
But he could do nothing for Belsa. All he could do was watch her, newly grown, roll around in agony during the damp spring weather.
Unable to bear watching Belsa suffer, Hoxier finally followed the veterinarian’s advice and sent the frail dog to the operating table.
Fortunately, the cheerful puppy didn’t hold a grudge, and their friendship remained as unbreakable as ever.
That is, if Belsa hadn’t turned into a golden-eyed, gray-haired woman.
Belsa was a lucky puppy. She had found the best owner in the world.
But after she accidentally took human form, her owner started acting strangely.
Prompted by a maid, Belsa finally understood what her owner meant. But after her operation, Belsa no longer had those worldly desires. She couldn’t return her owner’s feelings, and they only made her uncomfortable.
She decided to reject him.
One evening, Belsa cornered her sickly owner in his bedroom. After confessing everything, she leaned close to his ear and quietly asked:
“Do you regret having me spayed back then?”
Reader’s Guide:
1. One-on-one romance, with a single-couple ending.
2. Inspired by the cat-to-prince trope.
3. The heroine is a werewolf, but at first she believes she’s an ordinary animal. She has no human morals or worldview. There is no romance while she’s in animal form, only a pure owner-and-pet relationship.
4. There is no magic, but there is witchcraft.
