Lu Sisi first met Xiang Yi at a reunion of their parents' classmates. The tall, slender boy wore a plain white T-shirt and knee-length athletic shorts. The only word that could describe his whole bearing was "clean-cut."

From beginning to end, the boy, who was two years younger than her, kept calling her "little sister."

"Little sister, let me carry that for you."

"Careful, little sister."

Every "little sister" sounded so sweet and obedient that she couldn't bring herself to correct him.

Lu Sisi kept trying to say something, but held back until an unexpected incident near the end of the banquet. The boy called her "little sister" one more time, and that finally broke her composure

"What do you mean, little sister? I'm obviously your older sister!"

As they spent time together, Lu Sisi realized the boy wasn't the kind of well-behaved student who only cared about his textbooks, as she'd assumed. He smoked, skipped class, got into fights...

He'd even had an early romance, and he was the one with a secret crush.

Looking at his flawless face, she joked, "I didn't think someone with a face like yours would need to have a secret crush. When are you going to introduce her to your big sister?"

Xiang Yi lowered his eyes, the corners of his lips lifting. "You'll meet her, big sister."

Lu Sisi didn't take the joke seriously. Then, one day, she went into Xiang Yi's room and saw a bedside drawer left open. An album inside hadn't been put away properly, and several photos had fallen to the floor.

The light was dim. She could just make out that all the photos showed the same girl. Thinking it was Xiang Yi's crush, Lu Sisi didn't pay it much attention.

But as she picked them up to put them back, she suddenly froze.

Because she realized the person in the photos was her.

At that moment, the boy, who had made an excuse to get her to come fetch something, appeared behind her. His gaze burned as he said, "I told you that you'd meet her, big sister."

Lu Sisi was dumbfounded. "What?"

Xiang Yi: "You still don't understand, big sister?"

At the other end of the leash was the collar around Chu Ying's neck.

"What's this?" she asked.

His hot breath fell against her as Ye Xin heard his low, hoarse voice: "I've given you the leash. Remember to keep me close."
