That NPC Is Pretending to Be a Player [Infinite]

Blurb: The tour bus Mu Yan was riding in was caught in a landslide and plunged off a cliff. She thought her epitaph would say she died at twenty-six, then discovered she wasn't quite dead. In another world, a door had opened that could bring the dead back to life.

"Do you want to return to the world you came from and make up for your regrets? The Second World offers you a chance to live again."

"Dear player, come play a game where your life is the wager."

"Fight to stay alive. At the finish line, a gift awaits, prepared especially for you."

At first she fled in panic. Later, she used the rules to control the ghosts. Mu Yan gently stroked the ghost baby's head. "Don't be afraid. I won't hurt you. I'm here to join you."

The other players stared at the ghost being strung up and beaten. "???"

Mu Yan: "Every family has a few discordant voices that need to be silenced."

A man wearing a mask and claiming to be an NPC casually handed her an item. "A whip soaked in cinnabar blood. Feels great in your hand, and it's only 100 survival points."

Mu Yan: "250 survival points. Let me see your face."

The man's voice was bland. "Sorry, I'm not that easy... unless you add another zero."

Much later, just as Mu Yan got a resurrection card and was about to leave the game, he took off his mask of his own accord.

Mu Yan was speechless. "You... look a little familiar."

The man smiled. "Miss Mu, until we meet again."

Yeah, right. Are you wishing me dead again?
