The arrival of monsters put a little excitement into my otherwise lazy life. My boss used a staffing shortage as an excuse to transfer me to the Monster Special Report team. In other words, I'm the unlucky fool who rushes to the scene and comes back covered in dust.

When I got there, I saw that even the cameraman's hands were shaking. Being considerate, I told him to go back first. After all, I was the one being sent down as punishment, and he was only caught up in it because of me.
