Sweet and Obedient Cannon Fodder, Ascending to Godhood in an Infinite World

A newbie appeared in an infinite game, with a sweet, soft face, and was even afraid of thunder.

Worse, he had terrible luck.

His beginner's gift of a hundred pulls yielded just one usable card, and even that was a useless dud.

Teammate: How did I get matched with such a cannon fodder? We're doomed!

But soon...

Why had Su Chen opened a combination lock nobody else could crack?!

Why had Su Chen found the clue to the true ending?!

Why did Su Chen know the boss's weakness?!

How could Su Chen... Wait, what? He cleared the game?

His teammates, who'd been repeatedly face-slapped, wanted to drop to their knees and look up at Su Chen. "Master, can we team up again next time? Please carry us to victory!"

.

Because the players couldn't work together, the final stage boss went berserk. Everywhere it went, the entire team was wiped out, leaving no bodies behind.

--It's over.

Just as everyone gave up hope and waited to die, Su Chen stood in front of them, holding up his dud card.

A little paper figure stepped out of the card. Amid the overwhelming murderous aura, it looked up at the stage boss, slowly raised its middle finger, then effortlessly twisted the boss's head off.

Everyone: ????

You call that a dud card?!

That's a god!

Amid the smoke and rubble, the little paper figure gently took Su Chen's hand and rubbed against him, utterly affectionate.

In the live broadcasts of the infinite game, the mysterious Yeyue topped the popularity charts.

He had never said a single word, yet his audience was unexpectedly large.

Like a lone wolf separated from the pack, he was fierce and imposing, his movements graceful. Armed with a long spear, he slaughtered monsters as if playing a game.

With his cool bearing and few words, he won a huge following and was revered as Moon God.

But one day, Yeyue's fans noticed a stranger had appeared in the livestream.

He seemed to be a beginner, with a sweet, soft face and a timid nature. Even the sound of thunder made him flinch.

At first, they thought he was just another cannon-fodder player trying to ride Moon God's coattails. But soon, the audience saw something unexpected.

For the first time, Yeyue let go of the long spear he always kept in his hand for the sake of another player.

The spear stood amid the ruins, its red tassel drifting gently.

In the smoke, Yeyue held the new player close, took off the only bandage he had, and carefully wrapped the other's wound.

For the first time, Yeyue spoke in the livestream.

He gazed intently at Su Chen, his low voice brushing past his ear. "You're finally here."

"My god."
