An Earth Bug Blown by a Storm into the Interstellar Insect Race

Latest news: General Xicheng Heng, a female insect, has lost the ability to reproduce.

Pamir: "What a coincidence. I don't want any hatchlings, so we're made for each other."

Later, Pamir sighed as she looked at the round insect egg. Weren't they supposed to have lost the ability to reproduce? Their Yellow-backed Locust kind were probably voracious eaters. She couldn't afford to raise a hatchling! What a headache.

Xicheng Heng: In the vast star regions, full of danger, our insect race presses bravely forward. But I'm not a worthy new queen. Under my leadership, the swarm hasn't found a new world to reproduce on. Instead, we're on the brink of extinction, with nothing but despair ahead. Then I'll have a hatchling! Let my subjects see new life and believe that our race will endure.

Coming soon: I'll Marry You with a Gold Mine!

Blurb: Kakata is a male insect with extremely weak mental powers. According to the Matching Center's regulations, he must marry a female queen upon reaching adulthood, but no female insect is willing to marry him.

His father plans to match him with an old female insect, one over four hundred years old. Once she dies, Kakata will inherit all her assets, enough to support him for the rest of his life.

But he doesn't want that! With the matching day drawing closer, he panics and runs off to hide in the woods, only to be chased by a monstrous beast. He comes running back in a sorry state, with no choice but to go home with his father.

On the day of the match, the old female insect stands smiling at the door, waiting to carry him back to her nest. His father happily ushers him outside, and all their relatives are delighted.

Only Kakata wears a miserable expression. He struggles with his father, shouting that he won't do it! He doesn't want to marry an old female insect. In the midst of their struggle, his hidden wings appear, flashing with a gleam of gold.

Just then, a female insect happens to pass by his home. He rushes over and throws his arms around her. "Please marry me!"

The female insect lifts his tear-streaked face. "All right!"

The old female insect immediately jumps in. "No! I gave him a betrothal gift. He's mine."

But his father just grins and rubs his hands together. "My son has plenty of female insects who want him, so the betrothal gift had better be generous!"

The female insect asks, "Will a gold mine do?"

Kakata is stunned. She's that rich? And is he really worth that much?

"I, I only need one gold mine."
