Slayer of Spirits

The day Yan Huahan received the approval form from the Paranormal Task Force and prepared to leave ordinary life behind for good, Captain Lu Yandong showed up to attend a parent-teacher meeting for him.

After the meeting, Lu Yandong called him into his military tent that night and asked, "The homeroom teacher arranged for parents to observe the morning exercises. I didn't see you there. Why did you skip them?"

Yan Huahan, the number-one rookie on the spirit-hunting leaderboard, the wildly arrogant young spirit hunter, and a minor: "..."

He pursed his lips and coolly replied, "No reason. I felt like skipping, so I did."

Lu Yandong's gaze was calm.

Yan Huahan's ears slowly turned bright red. "..."

Damn it!

Could the captain please stop staring at him like that?

What kind of idiot would do the Rainbow Sunshine Exercises in front of their idol?!
