The Eunuch Lives a Thousand Years

[Third-Person Narration]

I was thrown into the imperial palace to work as a low-ranking eunuch.

When I was nearly starving to death, an old eunuch I had met twice before took me in. Everyone who had bullied me started sucking up to me. That was the first time I tasted the sweetness of power.

I got revenge on every last one of them.

The old eunuch wanted to train me to be a plaything in the beds of the nobles. It was disgusting, but it had to be better than eating spoiled food.

Later, a noble had the old eunuch killed.

As I gathered up his remains, I cursed my rotten luck.

You old geezer, so you're dead now?

On a snowy day, I dragged the old eunuch's body toward the palace gates.

The towering palace walls, the endless corridors, the snow weighing down everyone's backs. Servants from every palace hurried past with their heads bowed. I was the only one to collect his body, his adopted son.

I thought, nobles couldn't be trusted.

If only I could become a noble myself.

The blurb is just a placeholder for now. It should be a power fantasy.

1. Basically, this is a eunuch's rise to power, from a low-ranking palace eunuch to a powerful court official who controls the young emperor. There will be palace intrigue.

2. Set in a feudal era. The protagonist is a real eunuch. He is abused early on and sees himself as defective and filthy, but he still gives himself to others for the sake of power. In the middle and later parts, he is ruthless when he grows arrogant, and even more ruthless when he falls from power.

3. The love interest isn't decided yet. I'll pick someone who fits the story as it develops.
